Your inventory stays yours.
Decluttr is designed to keep your visual inventory private and on your iPhone. This policy explains what stays on your device, what is sent to a service only when a feature needs it, and the choices you have.
Who operates Decluttr
Decluttr is operated by Michael Hitzker. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to hitzker.michael@gmail.com.
Information stored on your iPhone
Your inventory photos and cutouts, item names, brands, categories, prices, currencies, purchase dates, review answers, and ready-to-let-go status are stored locally on your device. Decluttr does not require an account, and the operator does not receive or maintain a cloud copy of this inventory.
Photos used to create inventory cutouts are processed on device using Apple Vision. Camera and photo-library access is used only when you choose a photo source. Your local app data may be included in an Apple device or iCloud backup according to your Apple backup settings.
Optional AI-assisted item details
AI assistance is optional. When you deliberately use it, Decluttr resizes the selected image and sends that image to Firebase AI Logic, using Google AI, so the service can suggest item details. The image is not sent for AI analysis merely because you add it to your inventory.
Firebase App Check may send app and device integrity information to help protect this service from abuse. Google and Firebase process this information as service providers under their own privacy and security terms.
AI monitoring is enabled for this feature. Firebase may retain sampled AI requests and generated responses, together with performance and usage metrics, to monitor and improve the service. A sampled request can include the image you submitted, the prompt used to analyze it, and the item-detail suggestions returned by the model.
Subscriptions and purchases
Apple processes payments. Decluttr uses RevenueCat to retrieve available plans, validate subscription status, support purchases, and restore purchases. RevenueCat may process a pseudonymous app user identifier, product and transaction identifiers, subscription status, purchase dates, and device or app information needed to provide those functions. Decluttr does not receive your full payment card details.
Diagnostics and product analytics
Decluttr uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app usage, diagnose crashes, and improve reliability. These services may process app interaction information, app and device identifiers, device and operating-system information, diagnostics, crash traces, and approximate location derived from network information. Decluttr does not use this information for third-party advertising or to track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
Exchange rates
When mixed-currency inventory needs an updated conversion rate, Decluttr requests public exchange-rate data from Frankfurter. The request includes currency codes, but not your item photos, item details, or inventory values. Like any internet service, the provider may receive basic network information such as an IP address.
How information is used
- To provide the inventory, review, AI, and subscription features you request.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and restore purchases.
- To diagnose failures and improve app reliability and usability.
- To respond when you contact support.
Decluttr does not sell personal information and does not use your inventory for advertising.
Your choices, retention, and deletion
You control camera and photo access in iOS Settings. You can avoid remote image analysis by not using the AI assistance action. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings.
Local inventory data remains on your device until it is removed by the app’s data lifecycle or you delete the app. Some in-app deletion actions retain a local record so review history remains consistent; deleted pieces are excluded from the active inventory. Removing Decluttr from your device removes its local app container, subject to any Apple backup you control.
Service providers retain information according to their contracts, legal obligations, and retention policies. To ask about support correspondence or request deletion of data associated with the services operated for Decluttr, email hitzker.michael@gmail.com. Because Decluttr has no user accounts, include enough context to identify your request without sending inventory photos or other sensitive content.
Third-party protections and international processing
Decluttr uses Apple, Google Firebase, RevenueCat, and Frankfurter only for the functions described above. These providers are expected to protect information in accordance with their applicable agreements, privacy policies, and law. Their infrastructure may process information outside your country of residence.
Children
Decluttr is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13. The operator does not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or profile system.
This website
This public information website does not use advertising cookies or ask you to create an account. Its hosting provider may process ordinary request logs, such as IP address, browser information, and timestamps, to deliver and secure the site.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Decluttr’s features or providers change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest published version.
